Gendang Beleq is one traditional musical instrument in Lombok Sasak tribe. Gendang Beleq own Large drum because its size means big and exceed normal size. Gendang Beleq was created to entertain the soldiers go to the left and toward the battlefield and arrival of the battlefield but with the times beleq used drums to welcome guests.
Gendang Beleq is basically a musical instrument but more than that presentation gendang beleq dance, the one to own a unique and specific to the unique as a dance.
Gendang Beleq consists of 2 people drum player, 4 or 6 persons babble dancer / oncer (so called because the dancers while dancing copeh holding a musical instrument at any time in the play to the music) and 1 petuk dancer (bring a musical instrument petuk played to the music), In addition there are many musical instruments used in preparing this gendang beleq like flutes, gongs, terumpang, kenceng, oncer, pencek.
Presentation Drum Beleq has sections such as:
1.First part -danced together by dancers oncer, drum and petuk. This section is a picture of the departure of the soldiers to the battlefield.
2.Second part - both danced by dancers petuk with funny motions. This section is a dance to entertain
3.Third part - oncer dancers danced together, drums, and petuk. This section is a picture after the war finished.
