Pendant Teelicht by Jan Bernstein

Filed Under: Lighting Pendant Teelicht by Jan Bernstein

It’s Clever idea, extraordinary pendant. This small light is made out of a classic cup from Arzberg (virgin White) and a pretty furry pull switch which reminds a bit of a teabag. Pendant Teelicht is designed by Jan Bernstein of 10 Liter Design.

Well, that might be a superficial reaction, but taking in consideration its one-of-a-kind design, Teelicht pendant makes me want to have fun. Made of a classic cup from Arzberg, it has a pull switch that has been made in the shape of a tea bag. Now, the light in its entirety is totally yummy and will look a stunner in a space above your table or your counter top in the kitchen. The lamp has a E14 metal socket for 25 Watt bulb and made of a 10 x 12 cm china cup. It’s retails for €65 ($82).

2011 Garden Trends

Filed Under: Garden 2011 Garden Trends

So what will be the 2011 trend for garden? Here we predict that the 2011 garden trends will be about practicality, water, indigenous and nocturnal. Practicality will provide your garden with charm. The shaggy lawn is more environment friendly and there’s far less mowing. Immaculate lawns are no longer a must or even desirable. But if you decide to be practical then you need to have the right kind of grass so you just need to mow only once or twice a month.
Water will be the most important factor. Next year is going to be so hot due the global warming. It will become the main factor either this year and for years to come. Gardeners need to become aware of how precious it is. Water is still underpriced but in the not too distant future it could become as expensive like the electricity. By developing garden that has water it will bring soothing and cool atmosphere around the house.

Garden lighting when skillfully and modestly implemented in nocturnal garden can create a fairy tale setting in a very ordinary surroundings. As night falls, sounds become more audible and fragrances of the nature will become even more powerful. Create comfortable areas around it and I’m sure you’ll be loving it enjoying with your loved one.
Indigenous natural looking garden is lovable as it has mixture of organic and linear elements. This kind of garden is friendly. Indigenous garden isn’t just a set of recreation to the nature. Creating and having the right elements can be important and decisive factors.
