This Bundeena australian housing project is a collection of 15 stylish beach houses set in a pristine bushland setting with stunning views of Hacking and Hastings Beach in Sydney, Australia. The architects of this beach housing project in Australia is Tony Owen NDM Architects who has designed this housing development with a unique luxury designer home features for each house. This beach housing project is created in three different house types which is divided based on the location, the slope and the shape of the land.
The phase 1 of this project which are named as the cross-over house by the architects which is completed contains the living areas on the top floor oriented east/west to maximises exposure to the northern sun and the lower level bedrooms oriented the the north/south directed toward the beach.
Tony Owen says: “The houses have a progressive feel with clean contemporary lines. We sought to create a stylish lifestyle, but at the same time the houses are clad in timber and natural materials so that they fit into the natural landscape. We also designed the houses using principles of sustainable design. We always said that we should have a house where a water tank would not look out of place”. Because the site has a strong bushland character, the landscape is integral to the design.
